Virgin Media is starting to demo 3D cable technology in the UK. Even though it appears to just be a fairly tame demo to make people aware of 3D technology this holiday season. There is still no timeframe for when Virgin plans to start pushing 3D content over their fiber networks, but it’s good to see that they are ready for it whenever consumers and networks start to really look towards 3D entertainment in 2010.

Fibre optic broadband and digital TV provider Virgin Media has announced plans to host the UK’s first-ever public demonstration of 3D television.”  However; “According to Broadband TV News, the firm has no plans to launch its own 3D service at anytime soon, despite testing the use of the platform during trials of super-fast web services in Kent recently.”
