Looks like Acer is going to get a run for its money, now that Asus is taking 3D laptops seriously. Both laptops are part of Asus’ G series gaming line and will come in 15.6in and 17.3in. It appears both will use “Nvidia’s GeForce GTX160M graphics chip with 1GB of dedicated DDR 3 video memory.” Unlike the Acer 3D laptop that uses polarising glasses, the Asus systems uses active-shutter glasses. Which Asus said the “technology is better suited to coping with the 1080p resolution available.”
Third Mag is working on getting our hands on one of these, but in the mean time, RegHardware has put together a review with photos.
