DirectTV 3D channel support coming soon!

It comes as no surprise that during the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, DirectTV will announce some sort of 3D content channel. There are no specific details yet, other than the fact that it will be a mixed bag of movies, shows, and sporting events. The new infrastructure and bandwidth will come from new satellites that launched this year and will launch next year. Most of the current receivers will just need a firmware update to push out 3D content. The only other things you will need is a 120hz or higher TV and a yet to be defined pair of glasses.
